Connected

Other than standing beside somebody 24 hrs per day, can we be more connected than we can with the communication devices of today? My Space, Face Book, E-mail, Chat rooms, Web Sites, Cell Phones, Traditional telephones (& I know, most young people dont know what a telephone booth is), mail, pagers, texting & lets not forget tweeter & twitter.
This is crazy. You can talk to hundreds of people in a matter of minutes while having a conversation with somebody on the other side of the world. You can watch events happen instantly while purchasing a home & playing a game with people from all over the world. You can send pictures of your kids activity instantly after it was done.
we are able to talk, eat, pay bills, watch a movie & listen to music at the same time while getting instant updates from people who want to stay in touch.
Do we have to much information & to many vehicles of communication? Do we simply abuse these vehicles of communication? Would we be better off not knowing things as soon as they happen? Would it be better to have patience & a little mystery about events taking place that really arent life altering?
I don't have the answer but I can make a pretty strong case of having balance in our life & not abusing anything because when we get out of balance with anything----WE ARE SIMPLY, OUT OF BALANCE.

You have a valid point my dear, I am simply the purveyor of questions & not the all knowing master of answers. VBS
